Maintenance Contracts

Service Request

Just as with other things, your plumbing can benefit immensely from preventative maintenance.  Most times it's more expensive to replace a high priced fixture or appliance than it is to keep it in good working order.  We understand that owning a home can be expensive but in the end, you'll save money by keeping your fixtures and appliances in top condition.

Rocksteady Plumbing can save you money.

We offer annual maintenance on water heaters that involves a full draining and flushing of the tank to remove sediment and lime scale that is so prevalent here in San Luis Obispo county.  If you get your water from a well, you know how hard the water can be.  Even if you live in Atascadero, Templeton or Paso Robles and get your water from the water department, the hardness is between 24 and 30 grains per gallon.  A water heater with 2" of lime scale settled on the bottom will have a greatly reduced heating capacity and efficiency.  Without regular maintenance, it will begin to lose efficiency to the point where what you've saved by not maintaining it will be spent on gas and electric bills.  We can also replace your anode rod; something that most homeowners don't even know about.  This will extend the life of your water tank greatly.

Lime scale will destroy the efficiency of your water heater.

We offer scheduled drain cleaning for those customers that have root impacted sewer lines where replacement isn't the most practical approach.  There are a lot of homes between San Luis Obispo and San Miguel that have old clay and Orangeburg sewer lines that have failed, allowing roots to enter and cause back-ups.  We can clean these lines, removing the roots, with either a mainline cable machine or a high pressure sewer jetter.  Differing conditions require different approaches and we have the equipment to handle each type of problem.

Rocksteady Plumbing clears roots from your mainline sewer with hydrojetting or sewer rodding.

Rocksteady Plumbing offers all of it's commercial customers in Paso Robles, Atascadero and San Luis Obispo quarterly hydro-jetting services to ensure your drains are always working when you need them to.   This service is extremely popular with restaurants and wineries.  Grease build-up in a drain line will slow the flow of waste and eventually stop up the line completely.  A conventional sewer machine can't clean the grease (or any other sludgy stoppage) from the line and restore it to it's previous condition.  The image on the left is what a grease filled line looks like after cleaning with a sewer cable.  After a proper cleaning with a high pressure sewer jetter, it can look as it did new.
