People often forget that sub-freezing temperatures can be felt here on the Central Coast. Sure, we all live in sunny California but every few years the temperatures here in San Luis Obispo county do drop well below freezing and can cause havoc on your plumbing system.  Because most people forget, pipes are left unprotected.  An uninsulated water line WILL FREEZE.
